Early in the morning, reports appeared online about a Ukrainian missile attack near the Crimean Bridge. The Russians are also said to have fired missiles. Local channels report numerous explosions and air defence clashes visible from the Russian-occupied city of Kerch.

According to Kyiv Independent, explosions were recorded in the Ukrainian city of Chornomorsk around 12:30 AM Eastern Time. According to residents, the bridge connecting occupied Crimea with mainland Russia has been closed to traffic. Ukraine has not yet commented on the alleged attack.

Kyiv Independent reports that a fire broke out in Kerch (occupied by the Russians), right next to the ferry crossing.

Another shelling of Crimea

Russian-occupied Crimea has once again come under shelling. At the beginning of June, significant explosions affected several districts, including Yevpatoria and Krasnoperekopsk. Residents reported an attack on the peninsula. The Russians are said to have closed the crossing over the Kerch Bridge.

A week later, Russian Telegram channels published recordings from industrial cameras showing the attack. One of them shows the moment debris rains down on beachgoers. In another, Russians can be seen fleeing in panic to a café by the beach.
