Kelly Osbourne shared her traumatic experiences in rehab centres in front of the cameras. In the new documentary, "TMZ Investigates the Death of Matthew Perry and the Secret Celebrity Drug Ring," Osbourne discusses how some of these facilities exploit patients for financial gain. "First rehab I went to was like university on how to be a better drug addict," the star recounts.

Kelly talked about how she learned various tricks from other addicts during her time in rehab. "I'd also seen people threaten to leave until they got given what they wanted, whether it be Ambien for sleep or Valium for nerves — they’d end up getting it," she reveals. "So the rehab facility is faced with: 'either give me the drugs or I'm going to leave and you're going to lose your $100,000,'" she adds.

In a short preview of the documentary, Kelly also shared the term "body brokers." "They'll sit outside of AA meetings looking for weak and vulnerable people that they encourage to relapse so they can then pick you up again," Osbourne confides.

connections to the Matthew Perry case

The information presented in the documentary sheds new light on the investigation into Matthew Perry's death. In mid-August, several drug dealers, including "Ketamine Queen" Jasveen Sangha and Dr. Salvador Plascencia, were arrested and charged in connection with the star's death. U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada said at the time of the arrests: "In the end, these defendants were more interested in profiting off Mr. Perry than caring for his well-being."

Kelly Osbourne has long been vocal about her battle with addiction. Ozzy Osbourne's daughter first encountered drugs as a teenager. She revealed that at one point, she used heroin to save money because the drug was cheaper than prescription medications like Vicodin. Currently, Kelly is living sober. She is raising her son Sidney, who will turn two in November, with her partner Sid Wilson from Slipknot.
