Many reports provided by Russian media or government representatives are propaganda. They are part of the Russian Federation's information war.
On Sunday evening, the Reuters agency, citing several sources familiar with the matter, reported that the U.S. administration under President Joe Biden had given the green light to Ukraine for using American weapons to strike targets deep within Russia.
As reported by Reuters, Ukraine is set to conduct its first long-range attacks in the coming days using ATACMS missiles with a range of about 300 kilometres. Russia's deployment of North Korean ground troops at the front was said to have influenced the U.S. decision to change its stance.
This would mean that NATO countries are at war with Russia
The first suggestion that the U.S. might reconsider the imposed restrictions on Ukraine appeared in September.
In a video shared on Telegram at that time, Putin cautioned that if such a decision were to be taken, it would lead to the direct participation of NATO countries in the Ukraine conflict. This move would fundamentally alter the nature of the conflict, effectively putting NATO countries in a state of war with Russia.
Later on Sunday, one of the best-known Kremlin propagandists, Margarita Simonian, commented. "I don't know why, but I know it leads to nothing," she remarked in the first of her posts on Telegram.
In the second, she referenced the play titled "Heartbreak House," stating that it is "her favourite work in English." "You can only read the ending," she proclaimed. Meanwhile, Bernard Shaw's play ends with an air raid and an explosion.
On Monday, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the U.S. decision, stated that U.S. President Joe Biden is "adding fuel to the fire" and is striving for the escalation of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
