Outdated plumbing can be a real nuisance, causing low water pressure, contamination, and problems with the proper functioning of devices like washing machines or dishwashers. If you suspect that the pipes in your home are clogged, try this cheap and effective method. Thanks to it, a plumber will not be needed.
Pour this into the pipe and pour hot water. It will unclog in a few minutes
Older plumbing systems can cause many problems, and not every housing association can afford to replace them. When the pipes in your home seem clogged, don’t reach for the phone right away to call a plumber.
There is a simple and safe way to unclog the plumbing. How to use it? Pour an entire kettle of boiling water down the drain. Then pour in a cup of baking soda and leave it for at least 5 minutes.
After that time, boil the water again and prepare a cup. Fill it halfway with vinegar and top it up with boiling water. Pour this mixture into the drain and plug it with an old cloth. After 10 minutes, pour hot water down the drain. This method will allow you to unclog the pipes safely.
When should we call a plumber?
If you notice that water is suddenly overflowing from your toilet, bathtub, or shower, it is a sign that the pipes are clogged. It is worth using the above method then. Remember to use the mixture in both the toilet (the water should be cooler) and the drains of the bathtub or shower.
If, despite this, the contaminants still do not flow away, it may indicate damage to the entire column. In such a case, it will be necessary to call a plumber to avoid the risk of flooding the neighbours.
It is worth refraining from using popular pipe unclogging agents before the specialist arrives. Often, during intervention, they use metal tools that can react dangerously with the unclogging agent, leading to serious damage to the plumbing.
