Teen "America's Got Talent" contestant found dead in California
Emily Gold has passed away. The body of the 17-year-old, who took part in "America's Got Talent" just a few weeks ago, was found under a bridge near the highway in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Investigators already have initial hypotheses regarding the details of this tragic incident.

On Friday, on State Route 210 in Rancho Cucamonga, California, a young woman was found dead, confirmed Officer Rodrigo Jiménez from the California Highway Patrol in a press release. According to Officer Jiménez, officers were called to a scene involving a "pedestrian lying on the lanes." It turned out to be 17-year-old Emily Gold.
The 17-year-old woman from Rancho Cucamonga was struck by at least one vehicle in the high-occupancy vehicle lane on the eastbound SR-210. She died from her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene - the report reads.
Officers confirmed to "People" magazine that Emily Gold committed suicide by jumping into the path of oncoming cars.
A few weeks ago, Emily Gold, along with a group of cheerleaders, participated in the American edition of "America's Got Talent!" The performance received a standing ovation, but the dancers had to leave the show, reaching only the quarter-finals. Heartfelt farewells began to appear on Instagram from her friends at school and from the team.
