Kamala Harris was overheard during her visit to Kalamazoo, Michigan, where she met with the Governor of Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer.
During the conversation at Trak Houz Bar and Grill in Kalamazoo, Harris turned to Whitmer and said, "We need to move ground among me."
A moment later, she realized that their conversation was being recorded. "Oh, we have microphones in here listening to everything. I didn’t realize that," she commented with surprise.
The recording of this moment quickly reached social media. Many suspect that the situation was staged. Both politicians had microphones attached to their clothes, and cameras and reporters were around.
The spokesperson for the Harris campaign did not comment on the matter.
Men's support? A key issue for Harris's campaign
Regardless of intentions, gaining support among men is crucial for Harris’s campaign. According to the "NY Post," in the latest New York Times/Siena College poll, former President Donald Trump leads among male voters, gaining 55% of the support compared to 41% for Harris. Harris has the advantage among women, gaining 54% of the votes, while Trump has 42%.
Last week, Harris downplayed these results in a conversation with NBC, claiming that she seeks the votes of all Americans.
However, observers say this situation poses a challenge for Harris's campaign, as winning the trust of male voters may prove crucial in the White House race.
