For several days, an evacuation of residents has been ongoing in the Kursk region of Russia in the Sudzha, Glushkovo, Rylsk, and Korenevo districts. Now, another city, whose region does not border Ukraine, has been ordered to evacuate. The panic in Russia is growing day by day.

Another city in the Kursk region has begun evacuating residents. This information was shared by leader Vladimir Zaytsev.

Until today, no evacuation had been conducted in our area. Everyone left on their own, no one interfered. However, that has changed, and we are ordering everyone who remains to leave their homes - said the Russian, quoted by the independent portal Meduza.

According to him, many people in the area do not want to leave. At the same time, in the Sumy region of Ukraine bordering Kursk, restrictions have been imposed on the movement of all citizens within a 20-kilometre border zone.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine revealed that the restrictions are related to the increased intensity of military activities and "the intensification of hostile diversion-reconnaissance groups."

Evacuation of residents is already ongoing in the Sudzha, Glushkovo, Rylsk, and Korenevo districts of the Kursk region.

All of these border Ukraine. The Bolshevik district, unlike them, does not border Ukraine: it is adjacent to the Sudzha district to the west, and to the Belovsky district of the Belgorod region to the south, where evacuation has also been announced. According to the census from 2020-2021, approximately 11,000 people lived in the Bolshevik district.

Problems for Russians in their own country

According to an analysis by the Institute for the Study of War, as of Monday, Ukraine controlled at least 780 square kilometres of Russian territory in the Kursk region.

On Monday evening, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with American senators - Republican Lindsey Graham and Democrat Richard Blumenthal. The discussion focused on convincing the American authorities to allow the Ukrainian army to use long-range missiles for attacks on Russia.
