There is nothing more pleasant than a swim on a hot day. It's no wonder that more and more people are deciding to buy or build a pool. Just fill it with water and wait for it to warm up.
After a few weeks of using the pool, the water becomes cloudy. In such a situation, most of us reach for chlorine. It is an effective but dangerous solution. Chlorinated water can cause skin problems. However, there is a method that eliminates the need for strong chemicals.
Add to the water and submerge the filter. They will be like new
Before starting to clean the pool water, you should disinfect all filters. This can be done by soaking the filters in warm water with a small amount of baking soda. This step helps remove harmful bacteria. After cleaning the filters, you must remove all impurities from the water, such as leaves, insects, or small debris.
Pour it into the pool. The water will be crystal clear
Cleaning pool water without using chlorine is simple. All you need is a large package of vitamin C powder. For every 1,000 litres of water, you need about 60 grams of this substance. Vitamin C effectively removes all impurities from the water, making it crystal clear. This trick is worth using regularly since ascorbic acid reduces iron levels, which cause the water to become cloudy.
Vitamin C can be replaced with baking soda. Sodium bicarbonate is equally effective, but you need to use much more—up to 5 kilograms. You can buy such large packages online and at health food stores. How to clean the pool with baking soda? Pour it into the water and let it dissolve. Finally, scrub the bottom of the pool with a clean mop and then vacuum it to remove the accumulated sediment.
