Simple dessert with mascarpone and oranges
Italian creamy mascarpone cheese combined with cream and oranges transforms into a dessert that can easily outdo even the classic tiramisu. The addition of fruit adds a light, fresh note. Ingredients:
- 5 oranges
- 2 1/2 cups of 36% cream
- 300 g mascarpone
- 120 g sugar
- 3 eggs
- 50 g cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Decoration:
- Orange slices
- Orange zest
- Fresh mint
Method of preparation:
Step 1. Cut the oranges in half and squeeze the juice. Set aside half of it and add cornstarch to it. Mix well.
Step 2. In a pot, crack the eggs, add vanilla extract and sugar, and mix thoroughly. Pour in the other half of the juice (without cornstarch) and heat. Then add the juice with cornstarch and cook until a thick pudding forms. Set aside to cool.
Step 3. In a bowl, pour the chilled cream and whip it. Towards the end of whipping, add the mascarpone cheese and the cooled orange cream gradually.
Step 4. Spoon the ready cream into glasses. Decorate with orange zest, fruit, and fresh mint. Enjoy!
