In the Zaporizhzhia region, Vladimir Putin's army lost valuable equipment. On social media, we see how Ukrainian soldiers destroyed the Russian Kasta-2E2 system, which is used for target guidance and electronic warfare. Its value is approximately $60 million.

A video has surfaced on social media showing a successful attack on a Russian position with a Kasta-2E2 radar. The Ukrainian army eliminated the equipment in the Zaporizhzhia region.

This station was intended for detecting aerial targets, including those moving at low altitudes. Its value is estimated to be around $60 million.

The Russian radar station for detecting aerial targets, Kasta 2E2 (also known as 39N6E), is a mobile mid-range radar that can be used for military and civilian purposes.

Russians claim the radar detects even low-flying targets from 3 to 93 miles away and has a 360-degree view. The Kasta-2E2 determines the flight path characteristics of aerial targets and their altitude, aiding in their identification.

The data gathered this way is then transmitted to command centres via radio channels or digital-analog communication.

The Kasta-2E2 radar station consists of several components. It includes an electronic vehicle, an antenna vehicle, and a vehicle with power units.

All are based on the KamAZ-4310 chassis. Additionally, the system includes auxiliary equipment, including a remote workstation that allows radar control from a distance of up to 328 yards.

Let us recall that for many months, the situation on the front in the Zaporizhzhia region in southern Ukraine has been extremely tense. The Russians constantly bombard Ukrainian positions using artillery and aviation.
