Tragedy at Moscow stock exchange: Marketing head found dead

On Tuesday, Russian media reported the death of Georgy Chibisov, a businessman and head of marketing for the Moscow Stock Exchange. The tragedy occurred on Saturday evening when the 44-year-old disappeared after a boat trip.

According to the portal rbc.ru, Chibisov sent his wife a disturbing message, claiming that he was "going for a walk," after which he disappeared without a trace.

His worried wife immediately notified the police. Chibisov’s friends, who accompanied him on a walk along the river, testified that they saw him board a boat that was leaving the dock, after which he fell into the water. They initially attempted to search for him themselves but eventually called rescuers.

The body of the 44-year-old was found only the next day. Moscow investigators have launched a criminal investigation into Chibisov's death, alleging "violation of traffic safety regulations and the operation of water transport, resulting in a person’s death due to negligence."

This is not the first such incident. In recent years, there have been many reports of a series of mysterious deaths among leading Russian businessmen, particularly those connected to the fuel industry.

Just a few days ago, media reported the discovery of the body of a former manager of one of the banks, 72-year-old Alexander Kolpakov. Preliminary information suggested that the cause of death was cancer.

Chibisov's death shook the Russian business world, sparking numerous speculations about the reasons for his sudden disappearance and tragic death.
