Cristiano Ronaldo, the renowned 39-year-old who continues to dazzle with his on-field prowess, scored his 133rd international goal on Saturday, helping Portugal secure a 3-1 win over Poland. This achievement brings his career goal tally to 906.
On Tuesday, Ronaldo can add to this tally as Portugal takes on Scotland in a Nations League match at Hampden Park.
Before this match, the Portuguese team trained at St Mirren's field and lodged at the luxurious Cameron House hotel by Loch Lomond.
Ronaldo, known for his commitment to fitness, was captured on video during a workout in the hotel gym. However, as seen on TikTok, he also took time to unwind, enjoying the hotel's water slides.
Dressed only in black shorts, highlighting his muscular physique, he was photographed at the top of the slide, poised to descend.
This isn't the first time the Al-Nassr star has visited Loch Lomond. Previous visits occurred during his initial tenure with Manchester United before Champions League matches against Celtic in 2006 and 2008.
Portugal's great form
Portugal is in excellent form, having won all three of its Nations League matches so far, while the Scots have lost all three.
Portugal's coach, Roberto Martinez, emphasized that substituting Ronaldo during the match against Poland was a planned strategy to prepare him for the upcoming clash with Scotland.
Martinez explained that substituting Cristiano was an essential element of their player management approach. With two games scheduled within a 72-hour span, they opted to rest Cristiano in preparation for the upcoming match in Scotland. Diogo Jota stepped in and delivered a strong performance. Martinez emphasized the importance of fully utilizing the squad's depth and confirmed that Cristiano is in excellent condition for the next game.
