Russia is intensifying its activities in the Black Sea. On Sunday morning (November 24), it deployed six warships for combat operations at sea, as reported by RBC-Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Navy has indicated that three of these ships are equipped with Kalibr rocket systems—sea-launched cruise missiles with a range of up to 2,500 kilometres, comparable to American Tomahawks. The Russian ships observed by Ukrainians are capable of firing up to six missiles in a single salvo.

Meanwhile, no hostile units have been observed in the Sea of Azov, according to the Ukrainian Naval Forces. They have also reported no threats from Russia in the Mediterranean Sea.

Russia increases activity in the Black Sea

On Saturday, the Ukrainian military recorded the presence of twenty hostile ships in the Black Sea, six of which are equipped with Kalibr missile systems and can launch a total of 23 missiles in a single salvo.

"It is a dangerous weapon, but no longer as effective. Its efficiency has significantly decreased. However, we shouldn’t completely rule it out," said Dmytro Pletenchuk, a spokesperson for the Ukrainian Navy, as quoted by RBC-Ukraine.
