Quick and easy family pasta: A 20‑minute skillet delight
You can never have too many ideas for delicious pasta, especially when you can prepare it quickly with essential ingredients found in every home.
This time, I have an idea for a pasta feast for the whole family. If you are worried that this recipe will be complicated or require a long shopping list, let me reassure you. Neither of these scenarios will happen today. Rather, you will prepare a delicious meal for your loved ones in one skillet in just 20 minutes.
As I've already revealed, pasta will play the leading role. But of course, it's not the only ingredient of a delicious dish. Alongside the iconic tagliatelle, you will also have a creamy sauce on your table in no time, made of cream, tomato paste, mushrooms, cheese, and aromatic spices. There is no meat in the recipe, making it a perfect option for a Friday meal for those who avoid meat dishes on that day.
This pasta is so good that I make it practically every Friday. No one complains
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons butter,
- olive oil,
- 6 mushrooms,
- 1 onion,
- salt and pepper to taste,
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste,
- 250 millilitres cream (18%),
- 200 grams of mozzarella cheese,
- fresh basil leaves,
- 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic,
- 200 grams of cooked tagliatelle pasta.
Preparation:
Step 1. Start by placing a skillet on the burner. Then, add olive oil and butter. A peeled and chopped onion is the next ingredient to go into the skillet.
Step 2. After a few minutes of frying, add the peeled and chopped mushrooms to the skillet when the onion becomes soft and starts turning golden brown.
Step 3. This is not the end; shortly after, add tomato paste, cream, and spices: salt, pepper, and granulated garlic.
Step 4. Add the cooked and drained pasta to the skillet when the sauce starts to thicken. Remember to add the grated mozzarella cheese and fresh basil leaves.
Step 5. And that's all. A delicious meal is ready, and you can calmly serve it to the whole family. Enjoy your meal!
