When sheep travel by train: The rise of unconventional pets
Some people have a dog, while others prefer a cat, and this TikToker chose to befriend a sheep. Since she bought the animal from a breeder, they have been inseparable. She even created a special profile to share their adventures together. Recently, she travelled with the sheep by train.
The trend of keeping unusual animals such as raccoons, goats, or miniature pigs at home is becoming increasingly popular. While these pets can add a touch of exoticism and uniqueness to their owners' lives, it's worth considering the consequences of such a decision.
In many cases, keeping these animals in a home setting can be challenging, or even harmful – both for the animals and their caretakers. Raccoons, though adorable, are extremely mischievous and can damage the house. Goats need a large space, and their natural behaviours, such as chewing on plants or exploring their surroundings, are hard to accommodate in a city apartment.
The TikToker bought a sheep
A profile called "owcaiczlowiek" appeared on TikTok, run by a woman who is trying to domesticate a sheep. She bought the animal from a breeder and quickly befriended it. Although she usually keeps it in the countryside, due to the recent cold weather, it was staying with her in her apartment building: "He's in the countryside, but he was in the house a little bit because it was cold, and I didn't want to sit in the barn, but trust me, he would gladly live in the apartment building."
One of the woman's videos particularly stood out. It showed how she travelled with her sheep by train. Although the passengers were delighted, the conductors unfortunately did not agree to the transport of a farm animal, and the owner was forced to take a taxi.
Internet users delighted with the animal
Many internet users are delighted with the content shared by the sheep's owner. The woman shows how she goes shopping or walks around the city with the animal. Commenters almost unanimously stated that having a sheep on the journey wouldn't bother them: "Honestly, it wouldn't bother me, it would rather make my day," "I also want to travel by train with a sheep," "dream to travel with such a passenger," "how cute omg."
