Do you still remember "Squid Game"? It's hard to forget such a spectacle: aesthetically satisfying to a certain extent, yet simultaneously chilling to the bone. A group of people who seemingly have nothing to lose (or do they?) compete against each other in children's games. As quickly becomes apparent, what’s at stake is not only a massive cash prize but also their lives.

The second season of the Netflix hit will be released on the platform on 26 December. Director Hwang Dong-hyuk revealed a few tidbits about the upcoming "Squid Game" installment before its premiere. We can certainly expect new games, but not only...

"Squid Game" returns: money and humanity at stake

In the second installment of the series, Gi-hun, player 456, once again enters the deadly competition. This time, he voluntarily and consciously signs up for the game, where his life and about 49 million Canadian dollars are at stake.

Viewers will observe the increasing tension between participants, conspiracies, and a fierce determination to win—to survive. If anyone is counting on Gi-hun's experience to be sufficient to lead a group of 456 people through the bloody games, they are sorely mistaken. The latest trailer provides a sneak peek of the challenges the contestants will face and their attempts at solidarity.

Who will win "Squid Game"? And can this game even have a winner? We will find out on 26 December.
