On Friday, the music world lost one of its most distinctive artists – Fatman Scoop, who died at the age of 53 after collapsing on stage during a performance at Town Center Park in Hamden, Connecticut. Although the exact cause of death has not yet been disclosed, it is known that just before the concert, the artist consumed an energy drink, which some believe may have contributed to the tragic events.

Isaac Freeman III, commonly known as Fatman Scoop, gained fame thanks to his distinctive, deep, and powerful vocals, a symbol of club music in the early 2000s. Collaborations with stars such as Missy Elliott and Mariah Carey brought him international recognition and three Grammy Awards. His music not only entertained but also inspired a positive outlook on life.

On the eve of his death, Fatman Scoop was celebrating the release of a new track, a collaboration with young artist Dyce Payso. Just a few hours before the tragic event, the artist posted joyful news on Instagram about the premiere of the music video for the song "Let It Go." In his posts, he praised Payso's talent and determination, emphasizing that the young artist had a bright future ahead of him.

Unfortunately, the joy associated with releasing the new track was interrupted by sudden tragedy. A tragedy that no one could have foreseen.

The artist's last moments were recorded by fans at the concert in Town Center Park in Hamden, Connecticut. The recordings show a full-of-energy Fatman Scoop encouraging the audience to have fun. But soon, his breathing becomes heavy, his words begin to slur, and to the horror of those gathered, the artist collapses to the ground. Despite the quick response of medical personnel, he could not be saved. He died at the age of 53.

The artist's family and friends confirmed the sad news of his passing on Saturday morning.

Fatman Scoop was not just a world class performer, he was a father, brother, uncle and a friend – his close ones wrote in a statement.

Sharron Elkabas, the director of the PR agency representing the artist, informed that Fatman Scoop drank an energy drink before the performance, which was unusual because the artist typically avoided such beverages. This may be one of the factors that contributed to the tragic outcome of that evening, although the exact cause of death has not yet been determined.
