The dramatic events unfolded on Friday evening (August 30) during a concert at Town Center Park in Hamden, Connecticut. The performance turned out to be the last in the 53-year-old's career.
As described by the BBC, the rapper lost consciousness halfway through his performance. Meanwhile, The Guardian mentions a video posted on platform X, showing the musician collapsing behind the DJ booth. Moments earlier, the rapper urged concert participants to "make some noise." For a moment, the audience thought the dramatic events on stage were part of the show.
Mayor Lauren Garrett stated in a Facebook post that the rapper was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. Unfortunately, his life could not be saved. The news of the 53-year-old rapper's death was confirmed, among others, by his family.
