Lego expands car collection with Mercedes G‑Class Technic set
The Danish building toy manufacturer is not slowing down. It constantly surprises car enthusiasts with new offerings. Recently, we saw the McLaren P1. Now, something entirely different joins it.
It's about the iconic Mercedes G-Class, which many fans have eagerly awaited. Following the Land Rover Defender and Jeep Wrangler, this is another off-road offering in the Lego range. The "Gelenda" represents the Technic series. The set with number 42177 consists of 2,891 pieces and impresses with its attention to detail.
It features a working steering wheel and suspension with travel worthy of a real off-roader, two differential locks, a functional gearbox, and the moving pistons of a six-cylinder engine.
The set is not cheap, but there are more expensive ones. In the Lego store, it is priced at approximately $270. It's a fair price for hours of fun and adding to a miniature car collection. Well, maybe not entirely miniature, as the Lego "gelenda" is quite large. It measures 23 cm in height, 43 cm in length, and 20 cm in width.
