Lego offers a variety of fantastic projects for car fans. The long list is now joined by another option: the McLaren P1 at a 1:8 scale.

The set consists of an impressive 3,893 bricks and stands out with its attention to detail. Besides the opening doors, there is a detailed interior, a movable spoiler, and functional suspension. The engine is also excellently replicated - a 3.8-litre, twin-turbocharged V8.

"We wanted to capture these details in the best way possible with our Lego Technic model and we did not want to compromise in any way," says Kasper Rene Hansen, the Lego designer responsible for this creation. As he explains, the biggest challenge was the doors, which required the development of a new mechanism to keep them in the open position.

The P1 will join the Lego Technic Ultimate Car Concept Series, which already includes models like the Bugatti Chiron, Lamborghini Sián, and Ferrari Daytona SP3. As one might expect, it won't be cheap. Orders start on August 1st at a price of approximately CAD 645.00.
