What is hibiscus tea good for?

Hibiscus is a source of strong antioxidants, such as vitamin C (hibiscus flowers contain three times more vitamin C than blackcurrant fruits and about nine times more than lemon fruits), flavonoids, and phenolic acid. Antioxidants help protect cells from oxidative damage and support overall body condition. Additionally, hibiscus has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and is helpful in intestinal flora imbalances, preventing diarrhea.

How to prepare hibiscus tea?

Preparing hibiscus tea is very simple: just use 1 teaspoon of dried petals, which should then be covered with a glass of hot water (90-95 degrees Celsius) and steeped covered for about 10 minutes. After this time, strain the mixture. How many times a day can you drink hibiscus tea? It is recommended to consume it a maximum of twice a day. Despite its misleading name, hibiscus tea does not contain theine, the stimulating substance present in black tea, so it can also be consumed in the evening.
