A highly unusual situation occurred on the Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Mallorca. The pilot had to decide to land in Nantes, France, immediately. This was due to a dispute between a British tourist couple.
According to the "Daily Mail," it started with shouting, but the situation became increasingly tense. The onboard staff had to intervene, trying to separate the couple, but their attempts to control the situation were unsuccessful. At one point, the argument escalated into a physical fight.
According to British media, the woman suffered facial injuries and left the plane assisted by doctors and police officers. Passengers saw the moment when the woman, surrounded by flight attendants, walked through the seats, covering her face. The man who allegedly assaulted the woman was arrested.
The woman was attacked on board the plane
Shocking scenes unfolded in front of fellow passengers. Among those on board was a group of teenagers aged 14 and 15. They were members of the Pontent de Palma rugby club from Mallorca.
British media reports indicate several officers rushed to the cockpit to apprehend the man. A recording emerged online, showing a police officer intervening and the sound of passengers applauding.
This is one of many similar incidents. Just a few days ago, a plane from London to Kaunas had to make an unplanned landing at Warsaw-Modlin Airport due to the aggressive behaviour of a 45-year-old passenger. The man was intoxicated, used vulgar language, and ignored crew instructions.
