A chilled strawberry treat: The ultimate no‑bake summer dessert

Summer desserts need to be light and refreshing. The best ones are those that don't require baking. A delicious cake from the fridge on a hot day will tempt even those who prefer pork chops over desserts. Ever since I discovered this recipe, I have made it almost every week.

Strawberry Marshmallow is what we expect from a dessert on a warm day. It's fluffy, delicate like a cloud, and doesn't overwhelm with heavy masses. Moreover, the entire preparation is done without baking. It's worth preparing a day in advance since the dessert needs to chill thoroughly in the fridge. However, the result is worth every minute of waiting.

Strawberry Marshmallow - recipe for a light no-bake dessert

This frothy dessert is truly simple to make. Just four simple ingredients are enough to create an irresistible cake. When I put it on the table, everyone immediately starts eating. Even picky little ones, in-laws, and friends will enjoy it.

The base consists of biscuits covered with a creamy layer. The whole thing is topped with strawberry jelly and fruits. Nothing else is needed—this dessert is simply perfect.

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 oz (110-140 grams) of butter biscuits
  • 3 strawberry jellies
  • 2 cups (470 ml) of unsweetened condensed milk - must be well chilled
  • 10 oz (280 grams) of fresh strawberries

Instructions:

  1. Pour 1 cup of boiling water into a bowl and add the two packets of jelly powder. Mix thoroughly to dissolve and set aside to cool.
  2. Line a mould with baking paper. Cover the bottom with biscuits.
  3. Pour the chilled condensed milk into a tall container and whip with a mixer until it increases in volume and thickens.
  4. When the foam is fluffy, add the cooled jelly. Mix the ingredients.
  5. Remove the stems from the strawberries and cut them into cubes. Toss them into the foam and mix them evenly in the mass.
  6. Pour the foam onto the biscuit base and chill in the fridge.
  7. Dissolve the remaining jelly according to the instructions on the package and set aside to cool.
  8. When it has cooled and thickened, pour it over the strawberry foam.
  9. Place the whole thing in the fridge for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

Once the strawberry marshmallow has set, it is ready to be eaten. Cut it into pieces and watch your loved ones enjoy it with relish. Enjoy your meal!
