The news of the former YouTube CEO's death was conveyed by her husband Denis Troper. In a post published on Facebook, he detailed the illness Wojcicki faced. "Susan was not only my best friend and life partner, but also a brilliant mind, a loving mother, and a dear friend to many people."
Susan Wojcicki was also remembered by Sundar Pichai. In a farewell published on X (Twitter), he emphasized that she was a very important person in the history of Google. "She was an amazing person, leader, and friend who had a tremendous impact on the world, and I am one of the countless people working at Google who benefited from knowing her. We will miss her greatly."
Susan Wojcicki made her mark in Google's history from the very beginning. In 1998, she rented out her garage to Sergey Brin and Larry Page, where the Google Inc. company was founded. Beginning in 1999, she led Google's marketing department. In 2011, Susan Wojcicki was ranked 16th, and in 2012, she was ranked 25th on Forbes magazine's list of the 100 most influential women.
