CNN, citing four sources, reports that Tim Walz, currently the governor of Minnesota, is expected to be Kamala Harris's candidate for Vice President of the United States.

CNN reports that Kamala Harris has chosen her candidate for Vice President. It is supposed to be Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, citing four people involved in the entire process.

In 2006, Tim Walz was elected to the House of Representatives, where he spent 12 years. In 2018, he became the governor of Minnesota.

As Reuters indicates, Walz has implemented progressive policies in Minnesota, including focusing on providing free meals in schools, reducing taxes for the middle class, and extending paid leave for employees.

The key to victory?

Democrats hope that the 60-year-old will help the party gain votes in more conservative regions, including among white voters. During his career, Walz has defended the interests of farmers and the right to bear arms.

Walz is popular in small towns. Democrats believe he could tip the scales in their favour in swing states like Wisconsin and Michigan.

Recently, Walz gained attention when he called Donald Trump "weird," a term that Democrats have been using in their campaign.

The U.S. Presidential elections will take place on November 5.
