"A pop star complimented my outfit" – that's how a story on Wattpad could start. However, this is not literary fiction – a man in London had a charming interaction with Harry Styles, an experience most fans would do anything for.
"I don't listen to him, but I'll go to the show because my best friend asked me to." "I have a biology test tomorrow and want to get into medical school, so I must study, even at the concert." "So what if he's famous? Not my type; I like intellectuals, not pop stars." "We have debts, so we had to sell you to One Direction" – these are pretty typical beginnings of stories that obsessed fans create about their idols. Very often, they include romantic elements; the main character is the author's alter ego, and their love interest is a real person – a well-known actor, singer, or athlete.

Darnell Davis shared the extraordinary story on Instagram. He recalls it was just an ordinary day when a stranger suddenly approached him.
"I like your Fit' – he said. Of course, I responded: 'Thanks, bro, you looking fly too!' Then we get to chatting, when suddenly, a woman approaches us and asks for a picture. I’m flattered (clearly, the fit was on point), but she points at my new friend and says, "No, I mean with him!'" – the man recounted.
"So, I take three photos of them, feeling like I’ve just been promoted to part-time photographer. Then a small crowd starts forming, all wanting pictures with this guy. I’m thinking, Okay, who is this dude!? So I lean over and whisper, "Who are you?". He grins and says, "I’m a singer." Cool, I think. I ask, "What’s your name?". "Harry Styles."
Darnell Davis confessed that the artist's name didn't ring a bell, so he had to Google who he was. The funny plot twist was that Harry Styles and the man's mother share the same birthday – February 1.
"Moral of the story: Stay open to the universe, appreciate every encounter, and always be kind—you never know when you’re about to meet a global pop star (even if you don’t recognize him)," – Davis concluded.
