The "Wall Street Journal," citing sources among American and European officials, reported that Iran had delivered short-range ballistic missiles to Russia. According to Reuters, these could be Fath-360 systems.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is deeply concerned about international media reports regarding the possible delivery of ballistic missiles by Iran to the Russian Federation," the statement read.
"Once again, we call on the leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran to refrain from delivering any kind of weapons and military equipment to Russia, which, according to the United Nations Charter and international law norms, is an aggressor state," it stressed.
"We call for increased pressure"
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine recalls that Iranian Shahed kamikaze drones are used by Russia in Ukraine. Diplomats stated that deepening military-technical cooperation between Russia and Iran poses a serious threat to the security of not only Ukraine but the entire world.
"We call on the international community to increase pressure on Tehran and Moscow to protect international peace and security. Iran must completely and definitively cease supplying weapons to Russia to prove by actions, not words, the sincerity of their political leaders' statements about their lack of involvement in fueling the Russian war machine," it was emphasized.
"We officially warn Tehran that if the fact of delivering ballistic missiles by Iran to the Russian Federation is confirmed, it will have devastating consequences for Ukrainian-Iranian bilateral relations," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out.
