Ukraine struck an arms and military equipment depot near Kursk in southwestern Russia overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Enemy air defence activity and explosions at targeted points were observed" by the Ukrainian forces, the statement reads.

The General Staff reported that combat operations were conducted by specific units of the Ukrainian Navy in collaboration with other components of the armed forces.

"Detailed data on the results of the attack is being determined. Ukrainian military personnel will continue to take all possible and lawful actions to stop Russia's armed aggression against our nation," the statement said.

On Tuesday, it was reported that Ukrainian forces had attacked a fuel base in Kursk the day before; according to intelligence reports, a fire broke out at the facility.

The most massive attack this year

Meanwhile, Russians attacked Ukraine with as many as 89 drones. It was the most massive Russian drone attack this year. The air raid alert lasted over seven hours. There are no reports of casualties.
