In response to Russia's attack on Ukraine, the Operational Command of the Armed Forces stated that "due to the activity of long-range aviation from the Russian Federation targeting sites in western Ukraine, military aviation has been deployed in Polish airspace," reads the morning communiqué.

Close to 15 hours of air raid alerts

Throughout the night, Russian drones also attacked Ukraine. The alert lasted more than 10 hours in the Kyiv region, 11 hours in Chernihiv, over 12 hours in Poltava, and 14.5 hours in Sumy. The alert in the capital lasted 3.5 hours.
