"When the enemy targets our cities, the only solution is to push them back. Ukraine should be able not only to repel Russia’s attacks but also to strike the military targets inside Russia from where these attacks originate," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine announced on platform X.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also addressed the massive attack from Russia. He informed that 89 drones were shot down last night, and "Ukrainians can fully defend their skies against Russian strikes, provided they have the necessary equipment for this."
"The same level of defense effectiveness is needed against the occupier’s missiles and combat aircraft. And this can be achieved. We need sufficiently bold decisions from our partners — a sufficient number of air defense systems and a sufficient range. And Ukrainians will do everything right and accurately," the president assured on Telegram.
Some Western countries that supply weapons to Ukraine are imposing restrictions on Kyiv, banning the use of these weapons in fighting against Russia on its territory, such as striking military targets on the territory of the Russian Federation. These countries include Germany and the U.S.
