Trump vows sweeping changes; promises swift actions

- We won, we won. Thank you very much everybody. What a good feeling. We like winning, don’t we, eh? We’re going to make our country greater than ever before - Donald Trump began his speech at the pre-inaugural rally in Washington.

- That's what we're going to do, take back our country tomorrow at noon. The curtain closes on four long years of American decline and we begin a brand new day of American strength and prosperity, dignity and pride, bringing it all back once and for all. We're going to end the reign of a failed and corrupt political establishment in Washington, a failed administration. We're not going to take it anymore (...). We are going to make America great again - Trump continued.

The President-elect also addressed his voters, thanking them for their votes. He emphasized that "for the next four years, he will fight for them every single day." He pointed out that "all 50 states have shifted towards the Republican Party, and this happened for the first time in history." - This is the greatest political movement in American history and 75 days ago, we achieved the most epic political victory our country has ever seen - said Trump.

He announced that "starting tomorrow, he will act with historic speed and strength to address every single crisis facing the United States." - Before even taking office, you are seeing results no one expected to see. Everyone is calling it the 'Trump Effect.' It's you. You are the effect - said the President-elect.

He informed that starting Monday, after being sworn in, he will sign "many" executive orders. - Every radical and foolish executive order of the Biden administration will be repealed within hours of when I take the oath of office - he said. - You're gonna have a lot of fun watching television tomorrow – he added.

Here is what Trump plans to do via executive orders: Launch the largest deportation program in American history, cut environmental regulations, increase AI, create the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge), release documents related to the assassinations of former presidents, instruct the military to create a great "Iron Dome" missile defence shield, eliminate the policy of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) from the military.

He also announced that he "will end the war in Ukraine, I will stop the chaos in the Middle East, and I will prevent World War III from happening." - And you have no idea how close we are - he noted.

During the rally, Trump announced that TikTok is coming back after the app was shut down in the United States before the ban was enforced.

- I said we need to save TikTok, because we're talking about a tremendous... Who in this audience goes with TikTok? Many? Yeah. Very popular. And frankly, we have no choice. We have to save it. We have to save a lot of jobs. We do not want to give our business to China. We don't want to give our business to other people - Trump explained. He also confessed that he likes TikTok because it would help Republicans gain many young voters, which had never been achieved before.

Trump also referred to the agreement between Israel and Hamas. According to him, the ceasefire "could only have happened as a result of our historic victory in November."

- This week, we achieved an epic ceasefire agreement as a first step toward lasting peace in the Middle East. And this agreement could only have happened as a result of our historic victory in November - Trump said, adding that "the first hostages have just been released."

- Our incoming administration has achieved all of this in the Middle East in less than three months. Without being president, we’ve achieved more … than they’ve achieved in four years with being president - Trump said, thanking Steve Witkoff, the new President-elect's envoy to the Middle East, for the work done.
