It only takes a moment of inattention to over-salt soup. So, what can we do to save the dish and emerge unscathed?

A well-known potato might be the solution. Simply peel it, wash it, and then add it to the boiling soup. After about 15 minutes, the potato should absorb the excess salt. It's important to remove it from the broth afterward. A bag of rice works similarly.

Over-salted soup? There is a way to fix this

There are many ways to save over-salted soup. Sometimes, the simplest solutions are the best, though unfortunately, we often forget them. This situation is no exception.

To improve the taste of over-salted soup, try diluting it a bit by adding some water. Be careful not to overdo it; you don't want to lose other flavours.

Milk or sour cream also works well. They are particularly suitable for creamy or vegetable soups.
