Tom Cruise's unexpected romance with Spanish singer Victoria Canal

A surprising friendship that turned into an even more surprising romance? For over a month, Tom Cruise has been seen alongside a singer he met at a Coldplay concert.

Page Six reports that after breaking up with a Russian model 30 years his junior, the actor, producer, and director has fallen for the Spanish singer Victoria Canal, almost four decades younger than him.

The romance supposedly began in June at this year’s Glastonbury Festival. Canal performed with Coldplay because the band's frontman, Chris Martin, was enchanted by her single “Swan Song.” Not only did she perform with him at the biggest music festival, but she also signed a record contract with his label. As it turns out, she also met a few famous people at Glastonbury, including Tom Cruise, who was watching the concert from the VIP section.

Page Six reports that the actor and the singer have been seen together several times since then. Are you curious about what dating a Hollywood star looks like? Tom invited Victoria to a Bruce Springsteen concert and to a private meeting with him. They flew several times in the actor’s private helicopter (apparently, he was seen fastening her jacket before they boarded). In a rare move, he took Victoria to the set of “Mission: Impossible 8.” The crew on-site was reportedly astonished.

The age difference between them is a whopping 37 years. Of course, famous and wealthy men never seem to have a problem with it, but it’s interesting to wonder if 25-year-old Victoria enjoyed the Springsteen concert, which probably seemed like the best entertainment under the sun to Cruise.

Canal, who is of Spanish-American heritage and was born in Munich, has lived in Tokyo, Shanghai, Barcelona, Madrid, and Dubai. From an early age, she studied singing and piano. She has four albums to her credit and will soon embark on a European tour. She was born without part of her right arm due to amniotic band syndrome.
