The joy of a clean home is unmatched. A clean bathroom is the culmination of hard work, including intense detergent smells and sore hands from scrubbing tiles or fixtures. The last but significant detail is cleaning the toilet and hanging a fresh toilet deodorizer. However, unexpected problems can arise in this case.

After hard work in the bathroom, we often forget about how the toilet deodorizer hangs. We place it quickly, because who would think twice? But, as it turns out, the creators of these popular products have their reservations about the proper use of their products. Many manufacturers clearly define how to use this product correctly. Find out how to properly hang the block in the toilet.

Typically, installing the block starts with lifting the lid and attaching the plastic hanger to the edge of the toilet bowl. As it turns out, we make a mistake then. This is not what manufacturers expect. Although the common method works, it's worth learning how to do it correctly. What does it involve?

How to properly hang a toilet block? Most people do it wrong

First, take the toilet block out of the packaging and place it under the rim of the bowl. There's no need to struggle with bending plastic elements or lifting the lid. Just slide the block into a less visible spot near the water outlet. Done! It's really not hard.

Homemade methods for cleaning the toilet - learn the best ones

What's the best product to use for maintaining toilet cleanliness? Besides Domestos and other chemical products, there are also homemade methods available. Some of them work great with stubborn limescale and deposits. Moreover, they are really inexpensive.

Try a homemade solution of baking soda and citric acid. It's a very simple mixture to prepare. Mix 80 ml of white powder with 60 ml of citric liquid. Apply the paste to dirty areas, leave for 30 minutes, and then scrub with a toilet brush. Finally, flush the water and properly install the block.

Citric acid can also be replaced with vinegar. In this case, just mix 120 ml of vinegar with two tablespoons of baking soda. This mixture allows, among other things, thorough scrubbing of grout in the bathroom and other hard-to-reach places.
