Crispy curd cheese waffles

Not only are curd cheese waffles a tasty treat, but they also offer a healthier alternative to traditional versions. By using curd cheese, egg whites, and fruits, these waffles become packed with protein, vitamins, and minerals. You can replace sugar with xylitol or erythritol as a sweetener.

Curd cheese is a great source of protein, essential for tissue growth and repair, and helps keep you feeling fuller for longer. It's also rich in calcium, crucial for maintaining healthy bones and teeth.

Raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries are true vitamin powerhouses. They're packed with antioxidants that protect cells from damage and high in fiber to support digestive health. Agave syrup is a natural sweetener with fewer calories than regular sugar.

Ingredients:

  • 200 grams of low-fat curd cheese,
  • 2 egg whites,
  • 2 eggs,
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar,
  • 100 grams of all-purpose flour.

For decoration:

  • raspberries,
  • blueberries,
  • strawberries,
  • agave syrup,
  • mint leaves.

Instructions:

Step 1. In a bowl, combine the low-fat curd cheese with the eggs, egg whites, sugar, and all-purpose flour. Mix thoroughly, ensuring the curd cheese is well mashed into the batter.

Step 2. Spoon portions of the batter onto a preheated waffle iron. Cook until the waffles are crispy and golden, adjusting the baking time according to the power of the appliance. After baking, place the waffles on a rack to maintain their crispness.

Step 3. Serve the waffles topped with fresh fruit and agave syrup. You can also try other favourite toppings like banana with peanut butter, pomegranate seeds, mango, or chocolate. Enjoy!
