A few days ago, the United Kingdom became a scene of demonstrations, with anti-immigrant riots occurring across the country.
Over 400 people have already been arrested, and videos of these events quickly spread on social media. The riots took place in various locations, including Middlesbrough, where masked participants were stopping cars and asking drivers about their ethnic background.
The Prime Minister even convened a Cobra emergency committee meeting.
"The Sun" reports that the riots included attacks on mosques and hotels housing migrants, as well as arson and looting of stores run by ethnic minorities.
A hotel in Rotherham, inhabited by asylum seekers, was set on fire, injuring ten police officers trying to stop the riots.
Riots in the United Kingdom. It started with a murder
The riots began when 17-year-old Axel Rudakubana - born in the United Kingdom but of Rwandan descent - stabbed three girls participating in a children's dance and yoga class, injuring ten more people.
The Home Secretary, Yvette Cooper, and several other politicians, harshly criticized the riots as "shameful" and betraying the values on which the United Kingdom is built.
The victims' parents also spoke out, condemning the violence. Although false information appeared in the media about the accused's status as an asylum seeker, the police are still investigating, trying to determine the motives behind this tragic act.
British politicians unequivocally condemn the acts of violence and emphasize the need to protect democratic values and tolerance in the face of rising far-right agitation.
