"Marry me chicken". Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 large chicken breasts,
  • 60 grams of all-purpose flour,
  • 30 millilitres of olive oil,
  • 30 milliliters of butter,
  • 3 garlic cloves,
  • 240 millilitres of chicken broth,
  • 240 millilitres of heavy cream,
  • 60 grams grated parmesan,
  • 1 teaspoon chilli flakes (optional),
  • ⅓ cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes,
  • oregano, thyme,
  • fresh basil,
  • salt, pepper.

Preparation:

  1. Cut the chicken breasts into smaller fillets, preferably in half. Then, dredge them in the flour.
  2. Sauté the meat in the heated olive oil and butter for 5 minutes on each side. Then, set the meat pieces aside on a plate.
  3. In the same pan, sauté the chopped garlic, and add the broth. Then deglaze the pan: turn the heat high and scrape off any bits stuck to the bottom with a wooden spoon.
  4. Reduce the heat and add the cream and grated parmesan. Cook the sauce for a few minutes. Season the sauce with chilli flakes, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper. Also, add the sun-dried tomatoes.
  5. Finally, place the chicken into the sauce and cook until the sauce thickens and the chicken is ready.
  6. Garnish with chopped fresh basil leaves and serve warm with pasta or rice.
