  3. Mix water with salt and pour it over the cucumbers.
  4. Cover the jar with a plate or gauze and weigh it with something heavy.
  5. Set the jar in a warm place for 3-4 days (adjusting for Eastern Time, if needed).
  6. After this time, the slightly salty cucumbers with ginger will be ready to eat.
