On HBO Max, you can watch the documentary "Spacey: Unmasked" on Tuesday (May 13). The film tells the stories of successive people who were supposed to have experienced Kevin Spacey's perverse behaviour and reveals what his childhood was like. The confessions of the fallen star's brother are shocking and may shed new light on his life.

The Hollywood career of 64-year-old Kevin Spacey ended on October 29, 2017. That day, Anthony Rapp accused him of sexual assault, which was supposed to have happened at the star's home in 1986. Rapp was then 14 years old, and Spacey was 26. Soon after, an avalanche of accusations was triggered. By 2021, it was calculated that more than 30 charges of sexual assault had been brought against the actor. However, they did not get him any more serious legal consequences - he was cleared each time he appeared in court.

Despite reports of the actor's violent behaviour, he has recently received several tributes at international events, including standing ovations at Oxford. However, new accusations keep coming. Some of them were revealed in the two-part documentary "Spacey Unmasked" filmed by Channel 4. In the series, which hit HBO Max on Tuesday, people who had never previously made their stories about the actor public spoke out. We're talking about situations stretched over the last five decades.

He Couldn't Take It in Front of the Camera

From the outset of both episodes of "Spacey Unmasked," we hear a warning: "The film contains profanity and addresses sexual themes." Among the stories of various men, wildly shaking, is the one told by Scott. The man met Spacey in 1998 at a nightclub in Los Angeles. Their conversation went so well that Spacey offered to help him with his career.

Spacey suggested they check out the home cinema when the party moved to a luxury villa in the Hollywood Hills. When they were alone, he suddenly hugged him. Scott thought it was customary in Hollywood, so he gave him a friendly hug, but the actor caught him in a "bear hug" and started rubbing his bearded face against his neck.

Scott freed himself. Hearing about Scott's service in the Marine Corps, Spacey supposedly replied that that's exactly what turns him on. Scott ran away from the actor, but the next day, he wanted him to bring his CV with a picture. Scott thought Spacey could genuinely help him. The men went to the cinema to see "Saving Private Ryan". During the brutal invasion of Normandy scenes, Spacey was said to masturbate in the cinema hall and tried to grab the man's hand to help him achieve orgasm.

Scott confessed that Spacey used to call him often afterwards. The man refused to meet, but the star found a way to hook him - he invited him to a party at Bruce Willis'. He also promised that he wanted to introduce him to someone. Scott went to the hotel where Spacey was staying, but it quickly turned out they would not attend the party. Spacey suggested that if Scott would please him sexually, he could have a decent career, but he would never be in the spotlight. Scott admitted that he felt humiliated by being treated as an object.

At the end of his story, the man couldn't take it anymore. He rose from the chair and went to a darker corner of the room so the camera barely saw him. He cursed with emotion, and tears flowed.

The documentary about the two-time Oscar winner also featured his brother, Randall (Randy) Fowler. The man, in turn, talked about what their childhood was like. He admitted that he had a strong brotherly bond with Kevin from a young age. The problem, however, was their father. We hear, among other things, that the hate-filled man denied the Holocaust and organized Nazi meetings at home. In his office, there even hung a Nazi flag.

The father often beat Randy. Kevin always ran away from home when he saw what was happening. Randy said that acting for Kevin was supposed to be an escape from an environment lacking family closeness. Randy frankly admitted their house was disgusting and full of violence. Acting was Kevin's escape.

At some point, Randy revealed a shocking thing - his father began raping him when he was about 14 years old. After several years of experiencing horror, Randy threatened his father that if he tried to touch Kevin, he would tell their mother. Then, the molestations stopped. Randy moved out of the house in 1975. He felt guilty for leaving his brother behind but had to escape. He is convinced that a challenging childhood may have enormously impacted who Spacey became. Randy concluded that the fact that he was not sexually abused does not mean that the trauma of a nightmare family did not stick in his head.

Spacey Disassociated Himself from the Documentary

It is worth noting that at the end of both episodes of "Spacey: Unmasked," the actor's statement was presented. The leading role player in "American Beauty" emphasized that he demanded Channel 4 give him more time to respond to the allegations. He denied all accusations against him in the United States and the United Kingdom. He added that in each case, he has presented evidence undermining the insinuations and convinced the jurors of his innocence.

It is hard to predict what will happen next around Spacey, but after watching the documentary, one can conclude that probably more people will accuse the actor of inappropriate behaviour.
