Shannen Doherty has been battling breast cancer since 2015. After undergoing a mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy, it seemed that the treatment was working. Unfortunately, in 2019, the disease returned, resulting in metastasis to her spine and lymph nodes. In 2023, the cancer reached her brain. Before undergoing surgery to remove the tumour, she discovered that her husband, Kurt Iswarienko, was having an affair with his agent. The actress filed for divorce after 11 years of marriage due to her unfaithful husband.

The case is ongoing, and Doherty demands high alimony and amounts to cover court costs. She is seeking a one-time payment of CAD 27,500 and CAD 20,600 in monthly alimony. In the document obtained by American media, the actress writes about her lack of funds for living and medical treatment.

Shannen Doherty divorces her husband, wants money

"As a result of my recurrent health issues, I have been largely unable to work and have no future employment prospects. Today, virtually all of the income I earn is residual income from work that I performed prior to marriage," Shannen states in her document.

The series "Charmed" is a production in which Doherty starred in the first three seasons. Now, having stopped acting, her insurance belonging to the Actors Guild will end, which means a significant increase in the costs of oncological treatment.

In her document, the actress convinces the court that her husband will not have the slightest trouble with the requested amounts, as he himself leads a very luxurious life.

"While I have been unable to work, incurring exorbitant medical expenses not covered by insurance to undergo experimental treatments in hopes of prolonging my life, Kurt has been utilizing the airplane, spending thousands of dollars at medical spas, jewelry stores, Gucci, and on flights for his ‘agent,’ while simultaneously claiming that he has insufficient funds with which to support me," Doherty sharply criticized.

Iswarienko's 'agent' is Collier Grimm. The documents show that Doherty believes they are having an affair.

The actress further added: "Although Kurt’s income is substantially more than mine, he has not made any temporary spousal support payments and has made no contributions to my attorneys’ or accounting fees and costs since the time our divorce action was filed."

Shannen Doherty's severe condition

In April, the actress informed that she is "preparing for death." She sells her belongings and organizes matters so that when the worst happens, her mother will have as little trouble with it as possible.

Shannen Doherty's career

One of Shannen Doherty's most recognizable roles was Brenda Walsh in the cult series "Beverly Hills 90210." The series, which became a symbol of the '90s, brought Doherty immense popularity and made her one of the hottest stars of that era. Another iconic role was Piper Halliwell in the "Charmed" series, which also enjoyed great popularity. Doherty's latest film is "Darkness of Man" with Jean-Claude Van Damme from 2024.
