Shannen Doherty faces cancer, divorce: Journey into the unknown

The past few months have been exceptionally difficult for Shannen Doherty. The actress is not only battling cancer but also going through a tough divorce with Kurt Iswarienko. In the latest episode of her podcast, Doherty revealed what the upcoming months of her life will look like.

Shannen Doherty has been battling cancer for years. She was first diagnosed in 2015. After a brief remission, the cancer returned, with metastasis to the brain and bones. Known for her roles in shows like "Beverly Hills, 90210" and "Charmed," the actress has been open about her health with her fans and openly sharing her treatment journey for several years.

In the latest podcast episode "Let's Be Clear with Shannen Doherty," she revealed the treatment she will undergo shortly. She also spoke openly about her feelings related to both her illness and her divorce.

The actress has repeatedly shown that she does not intend to give up. At the beginning of this year, she mentioned in her podcast an innovative therapy that, after some time, brought positive results. Now, she revealed that she is about to undergo another cycle of chemotherapy.

- I have no idea if it's gonna be three months or if it's gonna be six months or if we're gonna… if after three months, it's not working, if we're gonna change again - she said.

- hat's not something that I can predict. It's not something my doctors can predict. And it's scary - she added.

She also made an honest confession. - I just feel like my life has been unknown for over a year now," Doherty explained, "between divorce and cancer."

In 2023, Doherty announced that she was divorcing her third husband, Kurt Iswarienko. Recently, "People" magazine obtained the actress's letter to the court. She wrote, among other things, that her ex-husband is shirking his obligations towards her. "It is simply not right that Kurt is allowed to prolong our divorce in the hope that I will die before he has to pay me alimony," she was quoted as saying.

In the mentioned episode, Doherty also addressed the divorce. As she said, it is not easy, especially when you truly love someone. - And I loved my husband. And when you feel so hurt by his actions that you just feel like a betrayed fool, the breakup is really difficult - she stated.

She added that she may never be able to speak about the specific reasons for the breakup.
