When the thermometer reads over 20 degrees Celsius, we all agree that the ice cream season has officially begun. In the city, booths pop up everywhere, offering sweet fruit combinations from popular brands. Not long ago, we could hear the iconic and legendary melody of the ice cream truck roaming the streets. But those days are now past...
Given this, it's no wonder our craving for ice cream remains strong throughout the entire spring and summer. But do you always have to go out and spend around $2.40 per scoop? Not at all! Today, we’re excited to share a delicious dessert made from frozen mascarpone. These homemade creamy ice creams are our favourite way to feel like we're on vacation in Italy without needing plane tickets.
Summer Dessert with Mascarpone
Ingredients:
- 250g of mascarpone cheese,
- 150g of cream,
- 3 tablespoons of maple syrup,
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract,
- 1 cup of fruits: strawberries and blueberries.
How to prepare:
- Place the mascarpone cheese in a blender. Add the cream, maple syrup (you can also use regular sugar or a sweetener), and vanilla extract. Blend everything until smooth.
- Wash the fruits and remove the strawberry stems. Feel free to experiment with other beloved summer fruits. The possibilities are limited only by your imagination. Blackberries? Raspberries? Pineapple? We'd love to hear your ideas!
- Cut the fruits into smaller pieces and fold them into the mixture. Then, pour the blend into containers and freeze. After about 4-5 hours, a delicious mascarpone dessert will be ready for you to enjoy.
