More and more soldiers who participate in the fighting in Ukraine are returning to Russia. Some of them commit shocking acts.

One of the local channels on the Telegram messenger reported a chilling incident that took place in the settlement (a small village - ed. note) of Ugolskyi in the Volgograd region.

Russia. he grabbed a pistol and started shooting at children

The 48-year-old war veteran Ivan Diakonov opened fire on children. According to eyewitnesses, the man allegedly reached for a Makarov pistol. As a result of this event, one of the children in the area was wounded in the leg.

According to bystander accounts, the incident took place on July 12. At that time, a party was being held in the settlement of Ugolskyi, attended by Diakonov, his brother, and a certain woman. At one point, the adults went outside, and the music stopped. Moments later, one of the girls in the area heard the sound of a gun being loaded, and the children quickly began to run for cover.

A 12-year-old boy was injured in the event, and doctors found two gunshot wounds in his leg. Diakonov was subsequently detained by police officers at around 1:30 PM Eastern Time, an hour and a half after the shooting. Moreover, a safe was found in his house, in which he stored a loaded weapon. It was likely brought from the war front.

Violence from war veterans is an increasing problem in Russia. According to data cited by the independent portal Syrena, by 2024, participants in the war against Ukraine had committed at least 412 crimes. Among them, as many as 126 were murders.
