They were sent "to the slaughter" without any preparation. "We were supposed to die like dogs" – this is how Russian conscripts, who are being captured by the Ukrainians by the hundreds in the Kursk region, describe their attempt to repel the Ukrainians. "You can't imagine, Mom, how much I want to come home, how much I am fed up with all of this," we hear on the recording.

More prisoners are falling into the hands of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region, Russia. A TSN journalist published a recording showing six captured Russian soldiers.

The TSN station also published an interview with two Russian prisoners. The first one, with a glove over his eyes, says they were forced to be in full combat readiness for several hours, and during that time, they couldn't contact their commander.

The second man addresses his mother. "It's me, Vlad. Your son. I am a prisoner of war. They just abandoned us. There was no support. Our general just sent us to , to die like dogs. He sent us to the slaughter" he says.

"I'm fed up with all of this"

"I am calling on everyone not to come here. Mom, I urge you to make as much noise as possible, to run everywhere, to show this video to everyone. You can't imagine, Mom, how much I want to come home, how much I am fed up with all of this. They left us here without any military preparation, and that's it, we were left here, they abandoned us. I don't want this to happen to anyone else. I really want to go home" says the young man.

Refused to withdraw conscripts

Shocking information is also coming to light. "The Russian command is said to have refused to transfer the conscripts from the Kursk region to the rear" reports "Agenstvo.Nowosti".

"Conscripts who were in the region at the time the Ukrainian offensive began in the Kursk region remain in their positions. A source from one of the organizations providing legal aid to Russian soldiers informed the agency (for security reasons, the agency does not disclose the source's name)" we read in the statement.

We are talking about "cannon fodder" – young and untrained men treated as such by Putin's regime.

The agency reminds us that in March 2022, a few days after announcing the invasion of Ukraine, Vladimir Putin said: "Conscripts who are serving will not and are not involved in military actions."

However, the very next day after this statement, the Ministry of Defense confirmed the presence of conscripts on the front. Conscripts were also on the cruiser Moskva, which sank on April 13, 2022.

Hundreds of Russians captured

According to "The Moscow Times," since the beginning of the attack on the Kursk region, hundreds of Russian soldiers have been captured.

On Wednesday evening, Ukrainian and Russian media reported that during the ongoing offensive in the Kursk region of Russia, dozens of Putin's soldiers were captured. The prisoners were taken near the village of Gogolevka, near the border with Ukraine. Several hundred other soldiers were reportedly set to surrender.
