Homemade cottage cheese bread is the perfect solution when we want to surprise the family with something new and tasty. It is filling and slightly moist, perfect for sandwiches and as a side for soups or salads. Moreover, making such bread does not require specialized baking skills or complex ingredients.
Why bake bread with cottage cheese?
Many people associate cottage cheese mainly with cheesecakes, pancakes, or sandwich spreads. However, as the main ingredient in bread, it works just as well. Cottage cheese bread is exceptionally fluffy and has a delicate, moist consistency. It also has more protein than classic baked goods, making it more filling and nutritious.
Cottage cheese bread is a great alternative to bread bought at discount stores. It is not only healthier but also tastes much better—without artificial additives and preservatives. Additionally, we can freely modify the recipe by adding herbs, seeds, or favourite spices to give it a unique character.
How to make cottage cheese bread?
Making cottage cheese bread is simple and quick. You only need a few ingredients that we usually have in the kitchen. The key to success is well-mixed cottage cheese, which gives the bake the right structure.
Ingredients:
510 g cottage cheese,
3 eggs,
2 cups all-purpose flour,
1 teaspoon baking powder,

Its moist texture and delicate taste make it pair well with various toppings—from classic butter to deli meats to jams or vegetable spreads. Enrich it with our favourite herbs, seeds, or grains to add flavour and texture.
