Russian pilot linked to attacks found dead in western Russia
Near Bryansk in western Russia, the body of the chief of staff of an air squadron and pilot of the Russian 52nd Heavy Bomber Regiment, who participated in attacks on Ukrainian civilian targets, was found.

The deceased pilot took part in the attack on the Amstor shopping centre in Kremenchuk, where 22 people died, the Ukrainian military intelligence (HUR) reported on Monday.
According to the HUR statement, the officer was likely killed by hammer blows. "Dmitri Golenkov was a pilot of the 52nd Heavy Bomber Regiment of the Russian Aerospace Forces, stationed at the Shaykovka airbase and equipped with Tu-22M3 bombers," HUR wrote on Telegram.
HUR conveyed that the war criminal took part in missile attacks on Ukrainian civilian targets, including the Amstor shopping centre in Kremenchuk in the Poltava region.
At the time of the attack on June 27, 2022, about 1,000 people were in the shopping centre. Twenty-two were killed, and dozens were injured.
"Golenkov was also responsible for the missile attack on a residential building in Dnipro on January 14, 2023, in which 46 Ukrainian civilians died, including six children.
The bodies of the Russian war criminal Dmitri Golenkov were found with numerous head injuries, likely from hammer blows," noted the HUR statement.
