Rebel Wilson celebrates second wedding with family in Sydney
Just three months after their intimate ceremony in Sardinia, Rebel Wilson and her beloved Ramona Agruma renewed their vows to love, honour, and cherish each other. The actress and tracksuit designer were married in Sydney, with their closest family in attendance, including Rebel's mother, sister, and her 94-year-old grandmother.
Rebel Wilson's transformation, both professional and personal, has been an inspiration for many. The actress has gained recognition not only for her roles but also for her openness about personal matters. Wilson's lifestyle change, which resulted in a loss of over 30 kilograms, was widely discussed in the media. However, it was her coming out in 2022 and the revelation of her relationship with Ramona Agruma that propelled the Australian into the global spotlight. At the time, Rebel joked that she had long searched for a "Disney prince but really needed a princess."
It quickly became clear that Ramona was indeed the one for Rebel. Half a year after announcing their relationship, the couple welcomed a daughter, Royce Lillian, born via a surrogate. At the end of September this year, the women were married during a romantic ceremony in Italy. The wedding took place in Sardinia.
Although only three months have passed since the wedding, the newlyweds, deeply in love, wanted to renew their vows. The reason for the second ceremony was the absence of Rebel's beloved grandmother during the Sardinian event, as she couldn't travel due to her advanced age. Wilson decided to host another wedding in her hometown of Sydney, specifically for the matriarch of her family (it is worth noting that same-sex marriages have been legal in Australia since 2018).
A series of photos from the ceremony were posted on Wilson's profile, featuring the brides against the backdrop of the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge over Port Jackson. Rebel chose a flowing, off-the-shoulder dress in powder pink for the occasion, while Ramona wore an outfit with a floral motif. In one of the family photos, the couple posed with Rebel's mother, sister, and grandmother.
My sister Liberty officiated our legal wedding in Sydney! It meant my 94 year old grandmother Gar could come which was very special to us to have her included and just felt right to do it in my hometown at this glorious time of the year! - wrote the actress.
