Swimmer from Paraguay expelled from the Olympic Village
Luana Alonso is a swimmer from Paraguay born in 2004. She flew to Paris to proudly represent her country during the competition in the Olympic pool. Unfortunately, she did not achieve much. She did not pass the preliminary stage in the discipline of women's 100-metre butterfly. The swimmer couldn't handle the pressure and announced on social media that she was retiring from her sports career. She apologized to Paraguay for her performance at the Games.
The Paraguayan Olympic Committee explained the decision to the swimmer from Paraguay, Luana Alonso, who stated that since she could still stay in the Olympic Village, she would start enjoying life there. She toured Paris, shopped at the best stores, went to Disneyland, and met with other athletes. However, the girl was asked to leave the Olympic Village, which surprised her.
The Paraguayan Olympic Committee cited the official reason as "behaviour creating an inappropriate atmosphere" among national team members. The official statement also said that Luana Alonso distracts other athletes, which is simply unacceptable. The girl wrote on Instagram that no one had thrown her out from anywhere. This is her only comment so far.
