North Korean missiles destroyed in drone strike on Russian warehouse

During the night from Friday to Saturday (September 6 to 7), a warehouse containing KN-23 missiles from North Korea was destroyed in western Russia, in the Voronezh Oblast. The region's governor has already declared a state of emergency. A drone was responsible for the fire.

In the Voronezh Oblast, located in western Russia, the warehouse containing KN-23 missiles from North Korea was destroyed during the night from Friday to Saturday.

This incident took place at night, as reported by the UNIAN agency. Alexander Gusev, the governor of the region, responded to the incident by declaring a state of emergency and ordering the evacuation of residents from areas adjacent to the explosion site.

As a result of the incident, the ammunition depot is engulfed in flames, which have been ongoing for several hours. Numerous explosions have been reported, according to the UNIAN agency.

It was also confirmed that a drone was behind the attack. On the social media platform Telegram, Gusev confirmed the occurrences, mentioning the fire and detonations in the vicinity of Ostrogozhsk.

The governor stated that the evacuation of residents is ongoing, with temporary accommodations prepared and bus transportation provided. He also explained that in response to the situation, a state of emergency has been declared in the region.

Gusev also added that "with the exception of potential material damage, there have been no initial reports of civilian casualties. However, he emphasized that a complete assessment of the losses will only be possible after all effects of the detonations have been neutralized.
