"Squid Game" has broken all Netflix records, becoming their best production in history. In the 28 days since its premiere, the series was watched by 142 million viewers. The bloody competition terrified, repulsed and surprised everyone at every turn. What is known about the second season?

The series achieved tremendous success during the pandemic, attracting 140 million users in September 2021 and breaking the record previously held by "Bridgerton." The continuation of "Squid Game" became a business necessity, although it took a long time to arrive. Everyone wondered what the second season could reveal. Another game with the same rules? To remind you, the first season depicted a world of corrupted rich people who, for their entertainment, watch brutal, bloody tasks in which masses of people die under horrible circumstances, racing for 45.6 billion won, equivalent to about 46 million CAD.

Second season of "Squid Game" - Netflix has new updates

Netflix has shared the first teaser of the second season of the Korean production. It's not a full-fledged trailer yet, just a preview, so Netflix doesn’t reveal much. However, it confirms what has been speculated for months - the return of Gi-hun, who will once again play the bloody game. This will happen on December 25.

As described by Netflix: "Three years after winning Squid Game, Player 456 gave up going to the States and comes back with a new resolution in his mind. Gi-hun once again dives into the mysterious survival game, starting another life-or-death game with new participants gathered to win the prize of 45.6 billion won (approx. 46 million CAD)."

Below you can see how the new "Squid Game" looks.
